Eyüp Süyrüge

I am a student at Hochschule Rhein-Waal, currently in my 3rd year studying Mediainformatics. I was born and raised in Moers, but I have Turkish roots from both sides of my family. My educational journey has been a continuous upward curve, starting with a regular elementary school, followed by a secondary school and high school. After graduating from high school, I went to France to study at a private university. Interestingly, even though I attended a French high school, I never learned the French language. Instead, I learned the Arabic language, which might seem ironic. After a long search, I've found a university and a course that I'm really excited about. It connects with things I loved as a kid, and I can't wait to dive into this new chapter of learning. I'm looking forward to putting my heart into something that truly matters to me. I enjoy learning new things, communicating with others and developing new ideas. My religious beliefs are an important part of my life. Respecting each person's boundaries is important to me because it helps prevent unintentional harm.

Beeswax

There are beeswax seas in my heart, filled and overflowing,
Even in the darkest nights, until the sun starts its glowing.
The fuse of my soul dissolved, quite some time ago,
Upon my heart's surface, beeswax roses grow.

A light from the unknown appears in my mind's sea,
From the surface to the abyss, falling free.
Houses of stone, made of patience, in my heart,
Every time beeswax flows when they're torn apart.

Long nights by candlelight, we stayed wide awake,
From afar, we were called one-winged, a fate we couldn't shake.
When all doctors lost hope for both of us,
They served us healing and poison in the same glass.

Candlelights

I saw candlelights at the horizon's end,
Flickering back and forth, in a harmonic blend.
Tuned to the movements of the deep blue sea,
Transferring their last strength to the progeny.

I saw candlelights on window sills glow,
Searching for lost treasuries, even though.
Memories scattered here and there,
Nothing remained as it once was, in the near.

I saw candlelights, exhausted and dimmed,
Exposed to the armies of the wind.
Facing the force of mighty gales,
Yielding gracefully as fate prevails.

I saw candlelights standing still,
Keeping hope alive with a stonelike will.
With a passionate and patient heart,
Lighting up others that lost their spark.

I saw candlelights humming a tune,
A song of despair under the moon.
Eyes get wet with tears, a blurred sight,
Because of the needless fights.

I saw candlelights in front of rain,
Gliding down gutters, in a rhythmic strain.
For the unconventional life's only sooth,
Challenging the last path of the Truth.
